How our affiliate links work

Many of the “Get a quote” buttons and carrier links on this site are affiliate links. It costs you nothing extra

Using our links never raises your price. The commission is paid by the carrier or network out of their own marketing budget. You pay the same rate you would if you’d gone to the carrier directly — our links simply let us earn a fee for the referral, which is what keeps this site free to use.

Our ratings are not for sale

We want to be straight about this: affiliate compensation may influence which carriers we feature and where they appear on the page. But it does not buy a higher star rating. Our ratings and “best for” designations reflect our own editorial assessment based on coverage, claims reputation, price fairness, and digital experience. A carrier cannot pay us to rank higher than our honest evaluation supports.
